(Disclaimer… this doesn’t apply to you if you are suffering from a mental illness but even if you are I am 100% sure you can get some take away from this post)
Or to have a great freaking day! Either way it is your choice. And yes, even if you house burned down, even if you are suffering from a loss of a loved one and any other reason you might have for having a bad day/week/life.
Everyday we have up to 80 000 thoughts….most of which are autopilot thoughts like “I need to go to bathroom, it is raining again, why is that kid screaming” etc. For the brain it is better to have autopilot thoughts most of the time because imagine if you would actually pay attention to every single fleeing thought… yeah you would drive yourself nuts.
But you still kind of do. And you can choose not to. Now don’t get me wrong this is not to say you can’t have negative thoughts ever. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t feel sadness, anger or frustration ever. That wouldn’t be healthy and it’d mean you are suppressing your emotions. That isn’t good either. What I mean is this:
If there is traffic, instead of going on and on about how much it sucks, just accept it. “There is traffic today, the good side is I get to listen to my music/audio book etc for longer. I’ll just let my boss know.”
I know this will feel harder if the situation that has got you angry/sad is bigger, like losing a loved one. And while you should 100% mourn and feel sadness, (if you don’t either that loved one was a horrible person or you are)…. but what you can do is remember the happy memories you shared, think of the fact that they would want you to have new happy memories even if it is without them and so on. (Note, I am not saying it is easy… however, it does get easier)
When ever you have a negative thought you can turn it around, it doesn’t have to me anything big, nor does it have to be unrealistic. If your parent died you don’t have to the next day be like “I am the happiest person alive”… you shouldn’t be.
Evolutionary we have been built in a way that makes us see everything from a lens of “Is this a threat”. Thanks to that we have survived very well until now. Most things in our lives aren’t a threat. No tigers, bears and venomous snakes haunting us at every turn. So we can relax and try to turn our brains towards the light.
Here are some tips to improve your way of thinking:
Journal 3 things that are well in your life, it can be list form, just words or actual paragraphs.
Visualize your day going well. Don’t think of what could go wrong, but more on the lines of if everything went perfect; how does that look?
Catch your thoughts, even if you have already thought “Damn the traffic” you can turn it around “The traffic sucks but I can listen to the audio book now!”
Seek people who don’t always talk negatively. This is SO HARD. I mean there has been so many times that I have talked with friends like let’s stop the negative whining. “If you can change it, change it, if not change your attitude”. When its a habit it is hard sometimes. It is possible tho, and if those friends who you have aren’t really worth the effort and they don’t want to change, you might have to find new friends.
Find help… if you are stuck and you see no light at the end of the tunnel…if you are depressed, please talk to a professional. Personal development helps, but you might need that push/that helping hand to help you out of the gorge.
The fact is, everyday there is something to look at and this wow this sucks… and also wow this is amazing. It is your choice which option you spend your energy on.

1. Why did you decide to start a blog?
I have enjoyed writing for as long as I can remember. I haven’t always been good at it but a while back I decided that I might as well do it anyway, since it makes me happy. Plus I get to improve everyday. I have been writing about self-help and health most of my blogging time, but especially now I have concentrated on the personal development aspect.
2. What year did you publish your first blog post?
I honestly don’t know. My current blog is not my first blog. But with the one I own now, I started it at the end of 2016.
3. What is your favorite blog post you’ve written and why?
My favorite post is “Stars Sentenced to Death“. This is a harsher, more negative post of mine and I wrote it right after Avicii died. I read about his death and about the comments on how it was to be expected because of the “music scene” and how it is so often that these people feel the need to turn to drugs/alcohol/self-harm. I found this very frustrating and point the finger to us, the people who love and hate these stars blindly leading to their lives derailing. Not saying we are the only ones at fault. But honestly we don’t let them have a normal life due to all of the fan giriling or hating on them for every move they make..
4. Do you own a pet? If so, what kind?
I have a dog, a middle sized Schnauzer! His name is Patu and he is 100% the boss of our household. Good lord who new these creatures to be so pigheaded?!
5. Do you have any routines before you write a blog post?
It honestly depends. Sometimes I will meditate and brainstorm ideas that come to me during the mediation. But quite often an event, an Instagram post or a book/podcast, will spark inspiration in me. I kind of would love to have a routine/ ritual for posting blogs to make it more organized. But then again sometimes it is great to just get inspired and let it flow 😀
6. What motivates you to write? Where do you find inspiration?
I love love love helping people. There is nothing better for me than to help people get their AHA moments in life. Like the “Fucking hell I actually am the one in charge of my life” moment is just like a drug. Honestly it hasn’t been a 100% easy road for me to get here so getting to that mindset isn’t easy, however helping others get there, I get shivers just talking about it!
The world is such a messed up and confused place right now. There is so much more hate than love and I honestly want to be a part of changing that. I believe that currently too many hurt people are in charge of the world. We can’t change the world if we don’t heal ourselves first (in what ever capacity it is for you) and this is why I write my blog. So people will find the power in themselves to change and rebuild themselves and after that attacking the issues of our planet with new vigor and passion.
7. What is your favorite social media platform and why?
I honestly don’t know. I think Twitter is cool because you are forced to think of what you say and how you say it, because you only have so many letters that you can use. Instagram on the other hand is so pretty! And it gives me inspiration to work on my photography to make it more artistic and to unite it with the text I write there (To anyone visiting my Instagram after this post; not all of the pics are mine :D)
8. Are you a coffee or tea drinker?
Coffee addict in the house! Can I get an AMEN from all of the sisters and brothers that are walking on the same journey of telling about the love of COFFEE to whom ever will listen?!
Honestly I love tea as well, but coffee makes me feel powerful and productive ( When honestly it doesn’t, it just makes my soul sing.)
9. What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned from blogging?
That it isn’t easy. That it requires work and it requires more from you than you were ever prepared to give. It makes your raw, angry vulnerable and all of those “negative” things. BUT once you get into it. Once you decide that it means a lot to you… it is the most rewarding thing you could imagine. (Especially when a blog post does well and make you feel like you did something good in the world. Even if it was just a small thing)
10. Are you satisfied with your blog’s progress so far?
Especially as someone who writes about personal development I don’t really know if that is even possible. It feels like I should be better since I write about being better. You just have to take as step back and realize you are just as much on the journey of growth as anyone else. Just a different path. So if I think realistically. Yes.
11. What do you fear the most?
Living a life that is unfulfilling and insignificant.

I have written a blog post about this a while ago. But I feel that this is so important that I want to do it again. And hopefully I add even more ideas and value to you guys 🙂
Write about the perfect life in your eyes. How would you feel about yourself. What would you do. Who would you spend time with. How would you bring value to the world. What would your salary be. Every single little detail. Write it out. And then start taking action, even if just a small little step like reading about the industry you want to work in or if you already have a degree sending out a well planned job application.
Write about what you have learned this day. It doesn’t have to be anything too extravagant, because we obviously aren’t going to learn the same amount daily. Some days we actually have a course we attend or a lecture, while others we scroll internet for the whole day (yea…I see you 😀 ) This will help make you see you are actually evolving and especially so, if you make learning your priority n.1 and you go out of your way to have something new to tell your dear diary (yes the boys too, everyone gotta learn. If you want to keep it masculine get a blue one. If you like pink 😉 nothing wrong with a bit of pink with glitter :D)
Write out the amazing and positive stuff. Yes, even if your day sucked. Don’t write about the negativity (at least not on the norm) Your brain will remember the negative shit anyway. But write out the positive. Even if it is; well I got a parking spot fast. Yes, it counts as a positive.
Journal of all of the opportunities you said yes to and no to. This way you can track if you are too much of a yes-person or a no person. If you always say no, you will realize that you might miss out on stuff (smart no saying is essential tho) and if you say yes too much, you aren’t reliable because you have to go back on your promises and that is worse than just saying no right away.
Keep a goal journal. Write about how you achieve the goal. What you did right/wrong. What didn’t go as you assumed. Write what steps seem to repeat themselves no matter the goal. Make sure to keep it positive, the idea is to make yourself see the goals you have accomplished. This will give you the boost you need when you get into the dark place of ” I never do anything right”. BUT be realistic. If you could have reached that goal in half the time if you have been more disciplined. Write that. It’s still great that you achieved it and you should feel proud. But you have to learn from each goal, to make it easier next time, because you are prepared.

Ages ago I stumbled upon a fascinating youtube interview between Marie Forleo and Daniel LaPorte. In case you are interested in taking a peak; the video is here: Goal Setting.
Instead of the basic goal setting that we are accustomed to; lose weight, travel the world, gain x amount of money. What this interview dives into, are the feelings you get when you achieve something you want. So instead of lose weight you would say you want to feel sexy/beautiful/confident. Instead of having x amount of money you want to feel free/secure/abundance. And you goal, is to achieve that feeling, not the tangible amount of money or a six pack.
Why should it be the feeling you go after? Well x amount of money that you assume is going to make you happy, might not make you happy. Usually people assume that they need way more than what they actually need. Maybe you are able to be very comfortable with a 100 000 a year instead of the million you thought. 100 000 a year is still 8, 333 thousand per month. That is definitely something you can live comfortably with. And you having a million probably wont make you that much happier. It might even just cause you stress, where to put that money, what if your friends are there because you are rich etc. etc. etc.
What about feeling sexy instead of having a six pack? Well, maybe you wouldn’t feel sexy with a six pack. Maybe you prefer the flat belly, or a little bit of more curves. As long as you are healthy and you feel sexy, that is the most important goal. That is what you should concentrate on.
So now, there is a bit over a half a year left. Instead of living your life by achieving things. Achieve feelings. How do you want to feel when 2020 rolls around the corner. It is much easier to find motivation in feeling happy, content, excited and full of life, rather than x amount of money, a job that pays well or a body that doesn’t even feel like yours anymore.

You are not meditating wrong. Unless you aren’t meditating. I want to tell you how I have been able to incorporate meditation into my life. If someone tells you to do something but doesn’t give you a chance to do it your way, you will eventually quit doing it.
Why should we meditate?
Meditation has many health benefits and it has been often said to have been a very important contributor to success. Oprah, Angelina Jolie, Tom Bilyeu, Hugh Jackman, and so many others meditate.
What does it do ?
It makes you present, gives you more clarity in your thoughts and gives you the discipline to work hard. Because you have taught yourself to not follow every thought, or if to follow them do so in a controlled manner.
How do I do it?
I have so many things in my head at any given time, esp now with school and work at the same time. I decided there is a way to help this “monkey mind”. I can actually make it less hectic. How? I write my thoughts out in a mind map. You might wonder why is this a better way than the more traditional one… It isn’t. It is just something that works for me. First I get to see all that is going in my head, in a concise package. The point usually of the mind map is to just blurt out things onto paper and find some things that relate to others and sometimes it helps you find solutions.
For me honestly, it isn’t about the solutions. Not in this state. It is to calm and quiet my mind so that once I start work I can concentrate on it. And a good tip is to have a piece of paper with you while you work. If some thought just keeps bugging you, write it down and analyze it later.
Hope you found this idea helpful. I am sure there will be some people who will say that this isn’t meditation. But it calms me, it helps me think more clearly and it makes me stay in the present moment. In my mind that is pretty close to meditation.

Hello, my lovely readers! I have been on a pretty long pause again and boy has there been a lot going on this fall. Oh boy oh boy oh boy!
The most exciting thing is that I have been better acquainted with the law of attraction. Thank you for The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. And if you don’t know this book or what it about hurry up and get it. It is amazing.
Now some of you might be a bit skeptical and not believe it as radically as I do. (But I have actually achieved a lot of things using the methods described in the book, so I have my proof if you will) But anyway. If you ask and believe you shall receive.
To the skeptics out there, it isn’t as out there as you might assume. People who believe in themselves and in their outcome are more likely to achieve those goals. They believe and that is why they see more of the options and solutions in case of problems. If you think you can’t do something you are less likely to try. And if you don’t think anything will work out, you are less likely to search for or notice solutions. The mind is an amazing tool we can use, now I choose to believe that it isn’t just the human who is in control of this but what you choose to believe is totally up to you.
Now to those people who were like, well I thought about wanting a tesla I didn’t get it, this is fraud. Did you actually believe you could have a Tesla? Did you just lay in bed and fantasize? Now visualization, imagining a future with the Tesla is great, but you won’t get it by just sitting around doing nothing. The universe works on energy, and is you don’t give any energy then why should you receive it?
I have a huge amount of things I have learned this fall, not all fall into the category of spiritual so no worries to the readers who aren’t spiritual. But when I write thing I might use some spiritual “language” just take it how ever you want to. And keep an open mind.
And I do not accept any form of discrimination, as long as you are a good person I don’t care about your race, religion, sexuality or anything else of the like. SO if someone can’t handle differences and variety they should probably stop following me.

We read about suicides almost every week, drug overdoses and alcohol poisonings and so on. It is so common it almost feels normal. It shouldn’t be normal. This post is inspired by deaths of appreciated stars like Tim Bergling known as Avicii, Verne Troyer famous actor, and many others who’ve taken their own lives; By their own hand or through substance abuse is irrelevant.
“Well yes in the music business it is quite usual for someone to use too much of alcohol/drugs.” “Yes well, genius people often are depressed.” “Well, of course, they kill themselves and turn to drugs with so much pressure, it was to be expected.”
The actual truth is that they are dead because of us.
How many of us just love this artist, or despise another one. All of us have these opinions of people. He is cool, she is a bitch, that person is a slut and omg I wish I could marry xyz.
Who are we to judge them or to love them? We know nothing of them actually, just sometimes read an article of who fucked up and how they were dressed. Why are we talking about them like they wouldn’t be just like us…people?
Someone “smart” will say or think but they chose to be stars they should accept that they will be criticized and judged?
Is a doctor judged by the way he looks or whether not he has a good looking wife? Mostly a doctor is judged by a work well/badly done. Do we judge stars that way? No. We judge them by how they walk, dress, breath, sleep, have sex and whether or not they have made mistakes that anyone could do and probably has done.
All that we hate in ourselves we feel comfortable to judge in other people. And not just a little bit. We torture those people and we send them death threats and we spit on them. We make them suffer, because we don’t want to accept the fact that they are just like us, human.
Oh, how we salivate after a tabloid to just see a glimpse of someone who’s life isn’t perfect so we wouldn’t feel so miserable about not really being important. For not being perfect. For being very human, normal and not interesting. We need to see those people in the limelight to suffer and bleed so we don’t feel so bad of being insignificant.
How many journalist have had to pester those stars, walk into bathrooms after them because we people pay for that shit. We pay to find out who cheated on whom and who dumped whom. And lets not forget all the love/hate letters people send to the stars “Omg I love you, you are amazing and I will kill you if you don’t love me back” That is love in its purest form folks. I hope someone would write me that. Maybe my boyfriend will one day. “Sighs happily”…
This frustrates me so much, people say well they just start hanging in the wrong groups and it is quite normal in the music business or among actors. Please let’s stop this bullshit. If they would be happy, relaxed and feel safe they wouldn’t feel the need to run to “mother’s little helper”. No one who is absolutely fine is going to go and ruin their body with drugs or alcohol. It might be a mental illness, it could be the stress maybe its a mixture of all, but those people aren’t fine. They are ill and miserable way before they even start using substances.
We will always want to have someone to look up to. Someone to compare ourselves to and that is fine. But there has to be a limit. A while back I saw a small video of Michael Jackson being an interview. And he was asked what he thought about touring. And he said he hated it. That he was stressed while doing it that he couldn’t sleep and he hated it. But that isn’t what we saw. No, the interviewer asked him to not say it like that. He asked Michael Jackson not to be so negative about it because the “viewers” don’t want to hear that. So the late singer had to tell the cameras that he loves the touring. These people can’t tell us that they aren’t alright. They have to lie, because if they don’t they won’t be “loved” by us. Because really we don’t give a flying shit about these people. If we did, we’d treat them with the respect they deserve. Even if they make mistakes, bad ones, they deserve respect.
Judging is a normal thing people do, but especially now with the internet, words have way more power than we think. Let’s give people their right to make mistakes let karma do the rest. We aren’t anyone’s judge and jury and stars definitely don’t deserve a death sentence.
Here we are again my friends. Talking about meditation. Well why is it hyped? Meditation is an simple yet effective way to shut that monkey in our brain. It makes easier for us to focus on the tasks we should, but still gives us a possibility to go through out thoughts, without judgment of course.
A study done in Harvard University has scientific proof that not only is meditation good psychologicaly it enhances our brains physical performance, by building more gray matter. In as short time as 8 weeks MRI scans showed a increase in grey matter. This is something that explains why many people say that the benefits they reap from meditation aren’t plainly psychological or emotional, but also cognitive.
This is great information. I am sure there are studies that show how meditation decreses risk for heart failure and for different forms of dementia. But is all the hype really necessary?
Yes and no. Look for me to tell that meditation is just bogus and stop waisting your time, would be hilarious considering I try to do it as much as possible. It helps me in so many ways, (all listed above) and I just want to make it a daily habit. So what is the down side of meditation?
It isn’t the act of meditating itself. It is the hype culture around it. Everyone in the personal development world makes it some kind of a super drug that will solve all your problem. Look mate, I am sorry to break it for you, but it isn’t. It really really isn’t.
First of all let us talk about the basic idea for mediation: Sit down in a lotus position, back straight and relax. Okay, let’s stop right there. My back hurts like hell in that position. Albeit it is my own fault because my back is just super weak, but I am not gonna get any relaxing done in that position. Try to make sure you aren’t thinking about anything. If a thought comes by, just let if float past. What kind of a witch do you think I am. If I could just let it fly away I wouldn’t need meditation in the first place. Catch my drift here?
Get this misconception of meditation being this easy hack, out of your head. It is simple. It isn’t rocket science but it isn’t easy. You won’t even maybe feel the benefits of it, until you do it for a week. If you aren’t consistent then it might take you longer. So it isn’t a magic pill. It is a habit that you have to grow, in order to become better.
Then the second part why I think meditation is overrated, at least online, is how it is marketed. Sit, breath, ommm, relax. But the thing is that isn’t the only way to meditate. For someone it could be a walk. For some drinking coffee and listening to birds chirp. For someone its going riding on a horse etc etc. There is no right way to mediate. Now I am sure that different ways affect us differently but in my opinion, the most important thing, is that you enjoy the process ( you are more likely to do it more often) and that your mind gets some peace and calm.
Personally I love to lay down and listen to a guided meditation. That way I can concentrate on the voice that guides me and breathing as told. Thus I am not as tempted to get sucked into my thoughts and worries.

Look there will always be people who are 100% convinced that the only right way to do s*** is their way, and you better do it the same way. And I will be the first one to tell you not to spend time with those kinds of people, unless you must.
There are a HUGE amount of different types of meditations. I myself love doing mindfulness meditations or some type of guided meditations. But there are so many. Here is a few of the most common ones:
Transcendental Meditation: Rising above negativity, in a lotus position.
Heart Rhythm Meditation (HRM): Concentration on the heart and breathing. Is said to improve not concentration but also balance emotion and more.
Kundalini : Sitting in a lotus position. The goal is to breath through your energy centers; the chakras.
Guided Visualization: Visualizing what you want your feelings to be like, what you might want to be like yourself.
Qi Gong: Involves movement
Zazen: The goal is to stop judging your thoughts.
Mindfulness: being present in the moment, letting thoughts drift by but not getting stuck on them.

But even these might not be the right answer all the time. Maybe you feel so restless that sitting in one space for a long time, right now just makes you feel very anxious. Maybe if you try to force yourself into a certain type of meditation, you just feel like a failure. This is why I am writing this post.
Meditation is about letting go of everything but the present moment. In mediation there is no past nor future. Just right now. And that can be achieved with different ways, not just sitting like a flower on the floor.
I sometimes love to go on walks and listen to the nature and I feel more at peace and in the moment than any other time. I also love coloring an adult coloring book, because it is a mindless task to do, but you are still doing something while letting your mind wonder. For someone it might be going for a jog, petting a horse or something similar. And I will tell you right now, it is okay. Do not try to force yourself into something you aren’t comfortable with.
At the same time I urge you to not disregard mediation as some old “voodoo” thing, because it isn’t. Mediation is an extremely powerful and old method at calming the mind, body and soul, so do not just disregard the practice. Try doing it once in a while, and do not give up after one time. It takes time to master it, I haven’t mastered it even a bit, and I have been doing it for about 3 years now. But I have seen the benefits of it. Try different ones and see what works best for you.

Daily I am more and more interested in the wonders of the Law of attraction or manifestation. I am aware that a lot of people do not believe in it. I how ever think it is a powerful tool, to take in to day to day life.
In short law of attraction is you attracting what you think about, weather or not it is conscious. So if you are all the time negative you will attract bad things, even things you specifically do not want to attract. But if you are positive then you will attract positivity. And for those who do not believe in this kind of a “voodoo” talk let me give you an example.
When you are in a bad mood, you tend to talk to others maybe a bit less politely and thus they do the same to you. Maybe you say something bad about someone and that someone finds out and confronts you etc. So negativity gives back negativity. But if you are positive and happy, you might give a compliment to someone, and by making them smile you smile even brighter, then someone will notice that smile and compliment you on it. The reason why I am so excited about the law of attraction, is that it can make a huge difference to our lives. Concentrating on the positive is proven to improve our mental health and get us to work hard to improve ourselves as people. By using law of attraction not only will it help to achieve more goals, it will help enforce the positive in us and around us.
Law of attraction is NOT magic, it isn’t this pseudo science thing that will all of a sudden give you all the answers and a billion bucks. You have to work with it. It is a tool to help you. It is there to guide you, but it is not an answer without hard work. Do not assume that this will make your life easy. You have to work hard on what your beliefs are about you and the surroundings, you have to make a conscious change with how you live your life but if you do; you will see results like no other.
To those who wonder if I have seen results in my life with the Law of Attraction then the answer is yes. If I am positive, a lot more good happens to me. If I am negative I become extremely clumsy, I bump into things and I hit myself against objects etc etc.
If you find it hard to change your views, hard to achieve a consciously positive mind, I suggest you turn to meditation. It doesn’t have to be a long session of sitting on your buttocks for an hour. It can be what ever you enjoy doing, that will clear you mind; painting, drawing, coloring, writing, going for a walk.
